February 16, 2016 at 9:00 the third Ukrainian business tournament for students in grades 8-11 “Firm strategy 2016” was launched at the Ministry of Education.
Tournament organizers: Institute of the education content modernization of MES of Ukraine; Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman; Company of Intelligent Technologies (CINT), NGO “Poruch”.
The anual tournament “Firm strategy” aims to open for high school aged youth the world of economy and entrepreneurship, on an example of a realistic model of a business simulator ViAL +; create practical business competencies of participants and help them in the future professional self. West has effectively consolidated the efforts of members of middle and high schools, businesses, public agencies, local governments, NGOs and associations.
The tournament is open to students of CEI and students of higher educational institutions of I-II accreditation level (colleges, technical schools, etc.) aged from 14 to 18 (inclusively). You can register to participate till 02.18.2016 (inclusively). For now more than 1,800 students from all regions of Ukraine have registered to take part in the tournament.
Each participant receives a virtual enterprise with some start-up capital and full access to the management of six departments: production, marketing and sales, personnel, finance, accounting, analysts. The main task of the participant is to adjust production and develop the business so that it becomes a leader in profits and has a leading position in the market. This is done during several stages of the tournament.
Remote stages via the Internet: motivation task (12-14.02); training (three rounds online, 16-18.02); qualifying (19.02 – 05.03), semifinals (09-26.03), online final (29.03 – 12.04). Live meeting of the participants and the final task are in KNEU named after Vadym Hetman, 14-16.04.
Semifinalists, finalists and winners are determined by a complex self-rated simulation ViAL +. In addition to valuable experience and nationwide recognition of their business talent, tournament winners and finalists will receive cash prizes and encouragement from the organizers and sponsors of business competition.
