Between 7 and 16 September 2017 the 11th International Summer School «International experiences in the area of refugee and migrant children’s adaptation: theory, research, praxis» organized by UNESCO Janusz Korczak Chair in Interdisciplinary Studies on Child Development and Well-being was held in Warsaw, Poland.
236 participants from 30 countries competed for receiving a grant from UNESCO in order to participate in the meeting. An honor to attend school events from Ukraine was received by Alexander Dluhopolskyy, Professor of Economics, Ph.D, Ternopil National Economic University, NGO “Poruch” expert.
Prof. Dluhopolskyy was one of 14 invited participants (including representatives of the academic communities and numerous NGO from Croatia, Romania, Albania, Montenegro, Moldova, Bulgaria, Belgium, Turkey).
Training was conducted on the basis of Maria Grzegorzewska Pedagogical University, Warsaw, Poland.
Participants presented results of their work, scientific research in the field of migration crisis, welfare economy and the provision/protection of the rights of refugees and migrants.
As a part of the Summer School participants have visited 3rd International Congress of Children’s Rights, 8th International Korczak Conference. During Congress an informal meeting with the President’s Representative for Children’s Rights Nikolai Kuleba was held. The issues of reforming the legislation on national security and social policy in the context of external and internal challenges were discussed.
