On May 3rd-4th (Merefa integrated territorial community) and on May 5th-6th (Rogan integrated territorial community) there were conducted trainings on “PROJECT COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES” within the program “Decentralization brings better results and efficiency” which is performed by international organization Global Community and financed by the United States Agency for International Development.
Executive Director of NGO “Poruch” Mariia Tyshchenko was appointed a curator of the communities of Merefa and Rogan in the Kharkiv region within DOBRE, the program implemented by USAID.
The main aim of the project is to improve the quality of social services, increase the efficiency oflocal self-government and local economic development.
A large number of young people attended the trainings. Thanks to the experts from the “Kharkiv University Consortium”, the regional partner of the program DOBRE in the Kharkiv region, and Executive Director of NGO “Poruch” Mariia Tyshchenko, the participants gained basic knowledge of project management, the concept of “Fundraising in project activities”, discussed the components of successful partnership, the relationship between public policy, strategic planning and project management.
The main themes of training included the analysis of community development problems, discussion of additional opportunities for funding local and regional projects, detailed working-out of community development projects considering available resources, costs and budget. Also, participants learnt about resources for project financing, considered the types of donors and the types of international technical assistance, information sources of grant writing.
At the end of two-day training all participants received certificates and good mood!
